Hello all thought I should tell you all that I have just returned from my first comic con. It was fall con thats going on at the St. Paul fair grounds this weekend, and it was a mindblowingly fun time. I got some new hellblazer comics and got to talk with Angel Medina ( a truly outstanding artist as well as a great guy to talk to). He took a look at my sketchbook and said I had a lot of good stuff and to keep to my style and really master it if I wanted to make it in comics. which I think is some of the best advice I ever got. I will be working on the commissions I got for the next couple of days but I'm still taking more if you guys are up for it.

It has come to my realization that I have not recieved an offer for my particular artistic services for what I can only assume is two reasons.
1: I am new therefore I must market myself in order to gain a demand for my work.
2: I am charging to much.

so to fix this I'm going to do something very simple

I am lowering my prices to $10 US for line art and $15 US for color

all other guidelines concerning my commissions are the same as in my previous journal except for those that pertain to price.

I will also be marketing my services on the forums so as not to rely solely on my journal.

For the short number of people who read this i would like to extend a limited time offer. I am going to open my services for 15 commissions.

$20 for a basic drawing (1-2 fully rendered characters in color or black and white.

$40 for a deluxe drawing (1-6 fully rendered characters with background in color or black and white).

Now since this is my first time doing commissions I'm not entirely sure how do do this but I do believe I have the fundamentals right (By all means correct me if I am missing a important detail). I have a certain number of commission slots that are to be filled on a first come first serve basis. those wishing to purchase my service send me a note describing what they wish me to draw and any other details. I do so in a timely and professional fashion and I post the commission on deviant and send them the original (little fuzzy on the specifics but I'm a quick learner). so with that paradigm in play here are the standards for a commission from me.

1. anything goes- I will draw anything you want (within reason) character wise meaning it can be the line work, black and white, or colored it's all the same price ($20 dollars for single/double character $30 dollars for single character with background)

2. preferably no anime- this is more for your guys sake since I am not a strong anime artist to say the least but anything else should be fine.

3. Be gentle- remember this is my first time so try and make the descriptions as easy to understand as possible and bear with me on speed ill get them to you as fast as I possibly can without compromising the drawing.

4. be creative- I'm doing this to test my mettle as an artist too.So you guys and everyone else on DA can see what I'm made of so by all means if you want to see what I'm made of try me.

5. Im not sure how other artist do payment but I can imagine that most use pay pal so just send half at the beginning and half when you receive the finished work.

that's pretty much it if you would like a high quality commission for cheap I'll be happy to oblige just send me a note with what you would like and ill give you the pay pal info for you to transfer the funds.

Hello to all who are reading this (I am aware that there is a limited number reading this). I am indulgeomihideus but lets use indulgeo for short. I guess for those reading and who dont know me this is my first journal. i felt like starting something new today and i thought since ive been on DA for so long I should at least write one journal, but i digress.

So i guess ill tell u good folks bout myself i am a college student (big surprise i'm an Art major) I like to use traditional over digital mediums but that's mainly because its easier for me. I love H.P. Lovecraft stories and the Hellblazer comics and i love movies like seven, underworld, and 300 ect; and tv shows like burn notice House and most recently Lie to Me; i love stand up comedy and hate reality tv; I enjoy at least one or two songs from almost all forms of music except christian rock, and i live my life on a stream of synchronicity most people would call it luck but its more like something that causes all the factors in my life to eventually work out fine. I have a wonderful beautiful intelligent slightly eccentric (like me, and understanding girlfriend who some know as sparkles but more people on here would probably know her as Rose6among6thorns. SHE is vastly more artistic then me and i have no qualms saying so she is actually the person who prompted me to make a deviant account so she is the reason why i am here now.
