Hey folks sorry about the lack of updating but since i just finished this I thought I should share with you good people. It's a quick three panel that I did as a kind of proof of skill to a guy I'm talking with about a comic series. I thought up the composition and drew all this out in about 8 hours of consecutive work. its a little rough and I wasn't sure whether or not I should ink it but hey if you guys want me too I'm all for finishing this one out. so hope you guys enjoy.
The lady-demon seems a little vague, I think I would probably have her head tilted back in the last panel.
Definitely shows promise- I like the backgrounds, which are simple but very defining; and I like the main character (especially in the last panel).
I like! Definitely a strong area for you.

thanks Bonnie, Yeah I was trying to go with a kind of Scottish banshee thing for the girl but I thought it looked a little sketchy too, and thanks for the tip I have trouble with drawing movement sometimes.

Yeah, it's pretty hard! My best suggestion is to try to do the pose yourself- just to see if your bones will bend in that angle, etc.
I like the Scottish banshee idea... Now that I think about it, you wouldn't have to have solid lines for her clothes and body, you could do cross-hatching that sort of fades into background- just enough emphasis on a leg, a shoulder, ect., to show how she's moving but vague enough to be really ghostly. Her face and hands are definitely the most distinct part of her, the rest I think doesn't need to be as defined as the hero is.
I think if you're not really sure how to show it (especially in fantasy-type stuff) feel free to stylize it or just rely on suggestions (quick sketches instead of solid lines) and keep the emphasis on what you are sure of.
That was a bit wordier than I expected to be but I really like the idea and I think you can do a lot with these things.

DeviantART has partnered with FAIR to help promote equality through The Love Unites Shepard Fairey Equality Project. We're asking deviants to align themselves with this cause and have their work judged by Shepard Fairey himself!
For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
